"Big Menorah” Candle Styles

The “Big Menorah” comes with a choice of four different glass candle holders.  Because the menorahs we light at Hanukkah are supposed to be reminiscent of those which graced the Temple in Jerusalem, we have chosen to be faithful to the way in which these lights would originally have been kindled.  As a result, all our menorahs are designed to be used with candles or candle oil.  Regular tapers may be used, but may burn out in windy conditions. The candle cups also hold regular votive candles.   We prefer neroni, a special Kosher candle which melts into candle oil as it burns, giving you the ability to have the menorah lit for approximately three hours with a self-contained flame and little or no candle residue.  (Neroni candles are supplied with the “Big Menorah” for your first year’s use.)

Watch for an electric version of "The Big Menorah" coming in Spring 1999
